Serving Middle Tennessee Since 2002
Water Quality and Erosion Control of Tennessee (WQECTN) helps clients navigate environmental regulations at every stage of construction. From permitting and erosion control to inspections and reporting, we take care of the details so you can focus on getting the job done right.
Construction projects that disturb one or more acres of land require a Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) under the Tennessee Construction Storm Water General Permit. WQECTN can help you develop a compliant plan that addresses your specific project needs.
In Tennessee, inspections are required twice per week, at least 72 hours apart. Sites that disturb more than 50 acres also require inspections after a rainfall event of 0.5 inches or more. We offer recurring inspections by Tennessee certified professionals to keep your site compliant and avoid potential violations.
A Notice of Violation is issued when a project is found to be out of compliance with environmental regulations. We review the notice, identify the regulator’s concerns, create a workable response plan, and communicate with the agency to resolve the issue.
Yes. We prepare and submit Tennessee ARAP permit applications and coordinate with the US Army Corps of Engineers for Section 404 permits. We also work with agencies like TWRA and the US Fish and Wildlife Service for project approvals near sensitive ecosystems.
After construction is complete, post-construction BMPs like detention basins or rain gardens must be inspected regularly to ensure they function correctly. We offer annual inspections and reporting to keep your site in long-term compliance.
